Enclothe Fashion Show
Garments created by students were the star of the show, but ENCLOTHE also allowed guests to see the business, sustainability and merchandising aspects of what students learn while designing garments
This year's event will be held April 26, 2024 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
Shipley Mini-Conference
The Janis Hawkins Shipley Early Childhood Mini-Conference will take place April 6 at the Jean Tyson Child Development Study Center in Fayetteville. Early childhood professionals will enjoy a mini-conference style interactive workshop with morning, afternoon, and break-out sessions led by JTCDSC teaching staff.
SMASH
Students Mastering the Art of Southern Hospitality (SMASH) is an annual student-run event for networking and fundraising for the hospitality program at the University of Arkansas. The 2024 event, SMASH A Night in Ancient Persia, will take place on April 19, 2024.
Career Fair
The Hospitality and Friends career fair, Unlock Your Future, will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2-4 p.m. in the Arkansas Union Ballroom. Students will have the opportunity to meet with organizations who may be recruiting for open job positions or internships in fields related to human environmental sciences.
Research Symposium
The annual graduate student research symposium provides an opportunity for HESC graduate students to share their research with faculty, students, and others on campus while gaining valuable presentation experience. The 2024 symposium will be held on April 19 in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge. Posters will be displayed 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and presentations will take place 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
