Academic Programs 

The mission of the School of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas is to inspire people and organizations to reach their full potential through delivery of innovative research, education, and service focused on individuals, families and their environments. The School offers six undergraduate programs and four graduate concentrations dedicated to instilling into their graduates the skills needed to complete that mission.

Undergraduate Programs

The School of Human Environmental Sciences (HESC) has six undergraduate majors dedicated to preparing students for a variety of careers working with people as consumers, family members and individuals. With the  committed team of faculty and staff in HESC, students are given personal attention and graduate with the education and experiences necessary to succeed in their chosen field.

Graduate Program

The Master of Science degree in Human Environmental Sciences is offered by the Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. This program offers four concentration areas to offer students specialized coursework and research opportunities both on campus and from a distance. Thesis and Non-thesis options available.

Early Childhood Pre-K Teacher Academy

The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is proud to sponsor the Early Childhood Pre-K Teacher Academy to expand the number of licensed Pre-K teachers in the state. As a requirement for enrollment in the Academy, an applicant must have this letter of support and assurances signed by their district or program indicating support for the candidate participating in the program.
